Job Description:
Animal Promise and The National Fish and Wildlife Foundation ( NFWF ) is seeking a charismatic and knowledgeable On-Screen Spokesperson Interviewer / Voiceover Artist to be the face and voice of an educational media episode focused on the conservation challenges and solutions for the endangered North Atlantic Right Whale. This episode aims to educate the public and stakeholders about the critical issues facing this species and the efforts being made to protect them.
Key Responsibilities:
On-Screen Spokesperson:
- Serve as the on-screen host, guiding viewers through the episode with clear and engaging communication.
- Conduct interviews with experts, scientists, conservationists, and other stakeholders involved in North Atlantic Right Whale conservation.
- Deliver scripted content in a natural, compelling manner, ensuring information is accessible and impactful to a broad audience.
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure the accuracy and effectiveness of the messaging.
Voiceover Artist:
- Provide voiceover narration for segments of the episode, including introductions, transitions, and summaries.
- Ensure that the tone and delivery of the voiceover align with the educational and informative nature of the content.
- Record voiceover segments with high-quality audio equipment, either in a studio or remotely.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an on-screen spokesperson, interviewer, or host in educational or documentary-style media.
- Strong interviewing skills with the ability to engage experts and translate complex information into accessible content for the general public.
- Experience in voiceover work, with a clear, articulate, and engaging vocal delivery.
- Passion for environmental conservation and knowledge of marine wildlife, particularly the North Atlantic Right Whale, is highly desirable.
- Ability to work collaboratively with the production team, including directors, writers, and editors.
- Flexibility to adapt to various filming conditions and schedules.
Requirements:
- Professional on-screen presence and voice.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and non-verbal.
- Ability to research and understand complex conservation issues quickly.
- A demo reel or portfolio showcasing previous on-screen and voiceover work.
